This is a technology with which surface of a biomaterial is coated with a thin film of calcium-phosphate crystal, enhancing biocompatibility of the target material dramatically.
Genosco has developed this breakthrough, and was awarded the Excellent Korean Technology (KT) Certificate from the Korea Ministry of Science and Technology.
It is currently applied to the Osteoclast Activity Assay Substrate (OAAS^TM), a specialized culture dish designed to measure bone resorption activity of the osteoclasts, and to the BBP-II^TM series, a new generation of bone substitutes. Besides, it will be applied shortly to various drug delivery systems, artificial tooth implants, artificial joints, and gene transfer technology.
